One wedding detail in which I haven't been indecisive is the dessert. Instead of a cake I envisioned a table full of a variety of cookies and bars made from family recipes. So, to prepare for the big day I have slowly been collecting a mix of white trays and cake stands. I've also begun "testing" recipes to make sure the cookies/bars will look good and will hold up in the freezer for up to a month and still taste divine when they're thawed. So far, so GOOD!
The first batch was my Aunt April's mint chocolate cookies.
I think I like them on the cake stand.
Can't you just picture all of these plates full of sweets? AH! I can't wait.

The thought just occurred to me that you may benefit from some objective criticism on this aspect of your wedding. Personally, I could care less if you wore bib overalls and invited Aretha Franklin and her gigantic inaugural hat to the ceremony, but when it comes to the food...
Let me think of someone with a trusting palate I could recommend, and I'll get back to you.
:)
I didn't know you'd be willing. I'll send a care package to you - just like when you were in college. Oh, wait . . .
I didn't say I'd volunteer for the job, for goodness sakes, I'm busy. I hardly have time to eat anything besides my Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet chips.
Oh, hey, that's an idea! Who's going to complain if you have dishes of those sitting at the reception?
Certainly not me!
These plates are beautiful. But I hope you have a big freezer! =)
LOVE! And feel free to pass that mint cookie recipe along. :)
